I’m David Cohen, an attorney practicing in technology with over 20 years of experience.
Throughout my career, I have worked in the tech sector across venture lending, M&As, and commercial technology transactions. I have drafted and negotiated almost every type of technology contract, including SaaS, software licensing, distribution, partnerships, and joint ventures. Along the way, I saw the same problem that I experienced early in my own career: lawyers in technology rarely receive practical, hands-on training.
That is why I founded Tech Attorney Cohort, to give lawyers the practical knowledge, confidence, and structure that I wish I had when I started.
I have worked with startups and global companies across the United States, Europe, LATAM, and APAC and have been exposed to emerging technologies where I was drafting agreements for services which have never been contemplated before. I managed EMEA and APAC sales in the morning and procurement in the afternoon giving me a unique understanding of both perspectives and what truly matters in a deal.
Through the Tech Attorney Cohort, I now help attorneys and legal professionals close that same gap. My goal is to turn legal knowledge into practical skill and to help attorneys feel confident and in control when dealing with technology contracts.
